Ian enrolls for 9th grade (can it be?) in a few days, and is having to make some tough choices regarding electives, because he wants to do so much. It’s hard to let him make those choices (I *really* want him to stick with cello – it’s this romantic notion that I am having to let go of) knowing that it really will change some course of his life… and now I’m being dramatic. Point being, it’s maybe not always so easy being a kid and having all of these choices (and pressures from adults).
